I have been reading the books by the writer Dan Brown. I have already read “Digital Fortress” and “The DaVinci Code”, and I have just finished reading “The Lost Symbol”. Currently, I have just started reading “Deception Point”. Also, I am used to asking my friends if they have read the books, and what they think about them. With this data, it would be possible to discuss the characteristics of the books that Mr. Brown writes, even if not having read all of his work. We can discuss the success formula, the language and the vocabulary used by this famous writer.
Probably, there are many characteristics that make Mr. Brown’s work so successful. In his books, it is possible to find secrets from beginning to end. There are heroes, villains and beautiful women to be followed during the plot. The good plot, always with a surprise in the end, makes the reading an attentive action. The excellent descriptions of places and characters make our imagination work easily. Despite the same formula being the same, the books keep the readers alert, paying attention. Dan Brown writes as if writing screenplays for movies. It is a shame that there are a few bloody murders.
Another sight to the symbologist writer is the grammar and the vocabulary. As his books are read all over the world, English language students could benefit from the adventures to learn a little more. The grammar is simple, but there are a lot of words, almost being an English dictionary. The volumes are excellent for English students from intermediate levels on, but even better for students in upper levels.
I like the books that Mr. Brown writes so much, that maybe people will think I am biased. But I tried to base this article on strong basis to show my point of view. Everyone must try to read at least one of his books. Choose one by yourself.
